Mirror Gallery :5mana:
Artifact
The "legend rule" does not apply
I can already see some nasty things comming up...
So, on to discussion!
edit: i got it from the BoK FAQ (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=365736), about half way down
.......uhhhhh............wow.....uhhhh..........
its like the brothers but more.........well they always try to break the rules...but this one may be a bit too much...... like having 4 "Takeno, Samurai General"(http://gatherer.wizards.com/gathererlookup.asp?set=ChampionsofKamigawa&name=takeno,_samurai_general# )
all out at the same time....and then not also to mention fukomo, low blood this card may be a bit too good.... and i wont even start on the mojins....
Uh...Soul Foundry...any good legend with CC 4 or less...
I can definately see some chaos ensueing :D.

Dear wonderful rules people at Wizards of the Coast,
I have 4 Talismans, Mirror Gallery, Krark's Thumb, March of the Machines, Intruder Alarm and Soul Foundry (imprinted with Clone) in play.
I use Soul Foundry (and the 4 Talismans) to put an arbitrarily large number of Clones into play, each a copy of Krark's Thumb. I then play Game of Chaos / Mana Clash. What happens?
Hugs,
H-Guy
Chaos ensues.
NoOoOo !!! Why ? WHY ??!! Stop printing crappy cards(it's rare right?) ! Why would I want to pay 5 mana for it ? Placing a card tht allows you to play another cad from your hand later is really crappy and imagine them killing it.... your legends gets screwed. Sad...
Hvir: You flip 2n coins. Or, you just attack your opponent with the thumbs instead and win.

even though it's stupid, I think it's still broken.
Some legends are legendary for a reason. It makes all 3 Kaldra parts 100 times more playable(for 1, I get a 4/4. BANZAI!). I will actually use this to attempt a Kaldra deck for Standard now :P(and It is very doable up to now, I proved it a few times that the deck had potential, I have a casual one and it's a real winner. I just need to change a few things here and there)
Don't diss the Gallery. It makes it possible to have 4 Karakas in play (Legend bouncing time! :P)
Time will tell what broken stuff can be done with such an artifact.

I really really like this card. Too bad the mana cost really turns me off. Still, would have to find some way to integrate it into my honden deck.

I wasn't thinking of real life Magic, where you can take short cuts and resolve this kind of thing easily; I had Magic Online in mind. :evil2:
That aside, the one thing I don't like about Mirror Gallery is that it suffers from Celestial Dawn Syndrome - if you build a deck around it, then your deck suffers when the card in question fails to show up, or when it's successfully removed from play. In Mirror Gallery's case, its removal is even more disastrous, since the Legend rule will once again kick in, possibly annihilating your side of the board.
Hvirf: Well, the principle is the same, plus MO can actually flip the 50 trillion coins in less than your lifetime, if it has a good algorithm.

Hmm, 5 mana for a card that does nothing on it's own AND if it gets destroyed is likely to make you lose 1 or more other cards:slant: They should have tossed some mana making ability or something else of intrest to make this card worth playing... Kinda like Vedalken Oarary, I remember hearing people scream BROKEN! when they seen that card:rolleyes:

That card will mix up things a lot.
its a decent card, but not very playble. Maybe use it against Kokusho maybe? I dunno, just saying random thoughts cuz I dont see a very good use out of it.

i think the card works really well, against T&N'ing to dragons into play, there have been times were i would have been able to win if all my crap didn't tap and i basically skip 2 turns.
some should quote that.

It will be awesome in my 8.5 Tails deck since I will actually be able to
protect it from direct removal. That's just my personal opinion. :)

You mean stoping T&N from puting 2 yoseis into play ? Are you kidding ? They can do that turn 4 and that's not the worst they can do. Not to mention they usually have hate in main so it wouldn't stand too long
Besides, on the dragons, they put two yosei's into play, they don't die...then your opponent still has two 5/5 flying dragons in play by turn 4 or 5....
My guess was that this card could break the honden, I agree you'll need a very heavy mana base, but with 3 colors, 12 hondens in deck, and some control you're pretty far already, I'm not expecting to see itin constructed but gaining 16 life, getting four 1/1 tokens, and drawing 4 cards each turn is a good possibility with sutch a deck, and with the honden you'll even have a good chance if you don't have the Mirror gallery yet....
All said above is fine and dandy, but works only if you get 4 hondens on the field and don't forget that without mana acceleration it's galery on turn 5 which is bad + killed gallery = scoop
well how about adding that which was taken with the mirror......then its harder to get rid of it and if you happen to get 2 that whitch was taken out you can make them both indestructable.... would that be any better?
Fun for casual bad for competitive play agreed? I mean to base a deck around it would be horrable just because all they gotta do is destroy it...and that wont be hard to do. It could act as somewhat of a support card if you have multiple legends out. I'd still say T&N 2 kokusho's with that thing out, now they got a choice, destroy it and lose 10 or let it stay and lose 10 anyways....just saying it'd be fun, but I still doubt this card to be playable...
I think the reason they made the card is for us to have fun with it. Make crazy deqs that do cool things like putting 4 Braides into play or whatever. :evil2:

just like rav. always kills people on 3-4 turn
t&n doesn't always go of 4th turn
and 2 5/5 is amazing, it's not always game winning,
i play mono-black control, i main deck 4 rend fleshes & 4echo decays,
terror is pretty much gone... but i side board in 4 of them against t&n.
that takes care of:
vine triels
kiki
birds
while mono blue couldn't beat 2 yosei on the field
mono-black could
I just have to figure out a deq to go around Ultimus+Ultimus+Coat of Arms. I think it would be pretty fun! I don't even know how big they would be, but im pretty sure it one hit you you would be very dead.

This is yet another reason why you should run ratss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!jk
There are some nice extended decks that come to mind.........evil evil
This does make Hondens a playable deck, maybe red/green, mana-accel and removal+hondens+gallery for multiple reds. any ideas on how to get teh reds? even if you have only two thats 4 damage a turn....ouch
I'm thinking that the only serious use of this card would be the Hodens. The minute I saw them, I knew that they would be good, but could never be great because you couldn't play multiples. This card solves that problem. Since you're going to be protecting enchantments anyway, and since many enchantment protection spells also cover artifacts, adding two Gallerys isn't a bad idea at all.
Other than a Hoden deck, though, this is restricted to casual play. Just too much of a target. I can see some poor Joe going into a tourney with a deck built around it.

The sad part about this is any legends worth having 2 of cost less than 5 to play... and any legends you would want 2 of that cost more than 5 are ones you would want to die right away... like double kokushos. If the price was dropped a little, sure it would be broken but it needs to have some kind of drawback... like the legend rule applies to creatures that aren't legends in addition? WOAAAh that would be crazy !
