heh, I figure we have quite a bit of cards that I would make a spoiler and compile them. When I get home I will update the thread with as much information as we know!'

UPDATE: Fully updated.

Don't forget basic land. Those DO count towards land cards:).

Isn't it a bit early to be making this thread? The set doesn't come out for another year and a half..

Anyway, I have 5 dollars on Grizzly Bears and another 50 on Mana Drain. :P

It actually comes out next summer, so in about a year. Not that that's a huge difference, you know -- more for accuracy. =] But the thread is relevant since we have Selecting Tenth Edition going on over at MTG.com.

(and I'll take that action)

I added the land and a few cards I missed.

Remember if you see any problems PM me and I will fix them.

Okay then, you owe me 5 dollars if Grizzly Bears gets printed. :p

But really, those lands look good. Gotta be the best white-border lands I have seen. :)

I agree, though the Ravnica ones'll drive the newbies round the twist.

...Actually, that makes 'em better.

Looking at them all on the same page, though, I think it's a terrific selection from a flavour point of view. They have a really magical quality to them; the Saga plains floats in the sky, the Kamigawa island is supported on a geyser of water and the Ravnica lands are something else entirely (I just wish Anthony Waters got in there somewhere). This really is the most fantastical selection of lands a Core Set has ever seen, I bet the newbies'll really dig it.

Tenth's shaping up to be interesting so far. I just wonder what kind of nonbasic land will make it. And the only dissappointment I've seen so is Warhammer winning over Empyrial Plate.

As far as Non-basic lands are running...It'll probably be the classic 10 pains. The Shocklands are still too new to rotate in, and Wizards can set up a new batch in [TS] or the next large expansion when [RAV] rotates out.

Cloudpost vs. Urzatron?
Forbidden Orchard vs. City of Brass?

Still expecting the classic five pains here :)

Cloudpost, interesting. I doubt Forbidden Orchard would make it, it's goot but it seems to tie too many things together for a Core Set (so far they've kept token generation to the fairly-straightforward Rukh Egg).

I agree with te shocklands being too new, but it would be nice to see them stick around. I'm thinking the ten painlands as well. I also had a thought of them probably reprinting the fetch lands from Onslaught.

If this is going to be the official thread (and I appreciate your interest in helping the Rumor Mill), do you think we could lose the bold pink text for the spoiler part of this thread?

Blake C

Thanks Xen, I indeed ditched the pink for black I hope this is good for you.

I was thinking that the Fetch Lands might get reprinted. :slant:

Besides, I think the land vote will be more like

Bazaar of Baghdad vs. Library of Alexandria. :p

Shivan Dragon isn't in the voting, and Mike Turien's comments (for Tek) seem to indicate that it's already definite for the set, but is that solid enough to go on?
