The old one got hit by el bugo. First order of business: are Volvermaster and Lone_Warrior in the Clan?I vote yes as long as Volver stops (or at least tones down) the spamming.

Lone Warrior is cool, and Volvermaster might be a tich too powerful with his whole "Master of all beasts" deal, but thats fine.
I vote yes on both counts, and Yes to Rios, too. SquirleMaster seems like he would not be a bad choice either, so when they get their 5 posts, I'll vote them in.

Fear Mage, you know that Poem you made about the RPG's a while ago? How 'bout Dusk puts it up on the clan Main Page or something, kinda like a motto or slogan, so that it doesn't go to waste. Of course, Dusk will have to agree with this.

good stuff with all the approvals. The only person I don't want approved thus far is Bob, because I think he totally screwed the Arena thread, but anyway - that's just my opinion. My subscribed threads thing doesn't seem to do anything anymore, and I'm having trouble with the epicentre and stuff, but anyway.
I approve anyone who doesn't want to take on everyone and thinks that they can win easily, or who argues their point persistently.

Have you guys noticed that whenever a good RPG gets going on the add a story boards we take it over! I think it's cool! We are the RPG Monopoly!

I get to make the next clan RPG! I already got a basic story frame worked out. I'll give you a hint of it.
Bad Guy:
Methkorak, a partially phyrexianized saprazan merfolk who rose to power on Dominaria.
This way no body HAS to be the bad guy!
And one more thing, I included a lot of deep inbedded info so you have to search for double meanings. To find some of these you'll have to know a little French, Latin, and Thran!
So please let me make the next RPG. I already have Methkorak's orign story written down.

How much French do you know? I took french for seven years (the majority of the seven years was working in half day classes.) and I know a lot of French (but I suck at reading and writing it.) If you know need help on some words or whatever PM me.

hey what happened to our AD&D RPG, I was having fun on that.
Lets start a new one though, I want to be a beetle. No, not really, but smoke puffing is really boring. Maybe I'll be a Squirrel Wrangler or an Assassian (like of DII).

We seem to have been pretty dead as of late, anyone have any ideas of how to revive us?
well, this isn't gonna help: I'm going away for a week, so I won't post at all (no access to a PC), but I'm on hols. when I get back so it'll be easier for me to post. :). How 'bout we take a break for a little while to let everyone get themselves sorted out, and then we can come back, full throtle. All our threads just seem to be dying :(.
School's started, that's probably the reason.

We create RPG's (storys) that only RPG clan members can participate in, if you want to join go to the thread in the Add a story boards and introduce yourself into the thread called "If you want to join the RPG clan post here" but talk with Scuta first! There might not be enough room!

What do my five posts have to be about?
RPG means "Role Playing Game". So basically we make stories where people play themselves, and only themselves. They can basically do whatever they want, as long as it isn't god-like, or the total annihilation of others. Your 5 posts have to be basically controlling the character you create and contributing to the story.
I'll just give my RPG faction some titles here:

Dusk_, what were you thinking about calling our team? And what should the story be about?
I think one of us(most likely you) will be a warrior slave from the Ice Age who flees in the middle of a battle, desperate to get away from his cruel leader. We'll say he runs, but he doesn't know where he's going, and he ends up reaching a gang of thieves. From there a few of the other members will come in.
What do you think of my idea?
Shadows swirl around the members of the RPG clan. The playful whisps of shade dance to an eerie melody and give everyone present a unnerving shiver. Out from the shadows appear a familiar figure. It is WarOne.

Well, I haven't posted much since I heard the news, but now with speculation that this site will live on, I'm ready to get back in action. Do you guys think this clan will still exist within the next 3 months or so? 'cuz I got a "secret" project that i'm planning to work on for the clan. (J/K. I wouldn't doubt you guys. I'm sure I can count on you being here. Even then, this project will still work for nostalgia purposes...)

As you can tell, I haven't been around lately, so I appointed a co-leader... I am working on freeing up some time on my schedule but not for a little while 'cause wrasslin' starts monday. I'll be in sunday most likely.
I have a challenge for the group, whenever I get onlinbe I'll help with it:
compile the works from the 1st and 2nd add a stories and then split them into chapters, and then see if we can make it into some semblence of an organized story. Then we can start to add in the others, and maybe each print it out and make copies and sell them in our local areas for big bucks.
well, maybe not, but... well, maybe it'd be fun ;)

Whatever happened to all the serious RPG's. Seriously, the new one started out like another one of those, "[blank] was walking along one day and [blank] happened". No offence or anything, but isn't this supposed to be the "RPG" clan? There's enough of those on the add-a-story board as it is. (sorry if the RPG's gotten any better over these last few weeks, i kinda tuned out after the first page).
BTW, the first stage of my project is under way. You should probably see the results in another week or so.
here here, although it has gotten a bit better. We need more of a story though than just fighting all the time.

That's why i was suggesting to go back to where we left off on "Clan RPG 8/14/01". We had the best storyline going on there, short of the dusk/scuta bombing incident, but then it was starting to get good. Now, instead, we're just starting some more of those dumb add-a-stories. At least, it started out like one.

Yeah, I like the AD&D ones, but they need a dedicated DM. For now I have started a new RPG. As long as we don't just get in mass fights everything's good. The problem is that when we fight no one wants to die so everybody just says "Kahledian gets hit by a MASSIVE fireball, but dodges most of it and falls down. After a second while the flames go out, he heals himself and gets back up and starts conjuring a massive ball of black mana which hits his enemy head on."
The reply:"But the massive ball of black mana instead just hits a massive mirror image of Kahledian's enemy and his massive enemy just pops up behind Kahledian and casts a massive chain lightening with lights up the massive arena because of its massive power and the caster's massive package".
Ok, I got a bit carried away there but you know what I mean.

How about a rule that you have to die at least 1 time every ten pages and you get to come back 2-5 pages after you die
How bout (pun, get it?) we all go to the collosseum one day and all sign up for a fight but don't say we're on the same side until we're kickin some butt!!
I know you guys all loved the AD&D one but I put hours of work into that. It's hard to keep up with. Towards the end I just stopped rolling dice and started flipping coins for everything so it wouldn't take as long

Secondly, we need a recruitment thread. People have been asking.
I had a feeling the AD&D might take a fair bit of work - how 'bout we just have a DM, who just says stuff instead of rolling die, etc.
One page is a lot of posts - most of our RPGs aren't that big anymore so ten pages is enormous, and the two required for resurrection is even worse. Another problem is the "posts per page" setting - mine's on 30, I don't know what everyone else has theirs set at.
What if we made an afterlife or something so people don't mind dying as much - or we have a netural party moderate each fight so we know no-one's moding?
Well, I could be a DM. And I could make it really simple like flip a coin, heads you succeed, tails you fail miserably.
About the afterlife, how 'bout you become a nether spirit who can do very little unless you go to the wonderous temple of revivification.

I'm all for it! I just didn't like the ones where we had to pick a character from a list! If we do a new one and want new characters we should just say so!

Hey guys.
You are doing good on the RPG, I can't join now, though. I am, however, going to start work on a campeign setting that we can play later on, probably in February. Please send your stats to Dusk_ (cause he's the current DM) and can he please E-Mail them to me. (I'll send the address.)
Now, here's the stats I need:

Speed (Dexterity plus Strength divided by 2)
each score starts at 10 and has a max of 25. You have 50 points to add to your starting 10 in the first 6 scores. Speed is figured by the average of your strength and dexterity, and cannot have any extra points added to it.
Weapon Proficiencies:
you have 4 points to spend if you are red or black, 3 if you are white or green, and 2 if you are blue. You can add up to 3 to any weapon on the list, whioch makes you a master of that weapin. 2 is specialized and 1 is proficient. none means you will probably hurt yourself more than your opponent. You may use 2 of different weapons if you have a 2 in one and one in the other, and 2 of the same if you have 3 in that weapon.

Yeah, where is everyone? The only ones who have posted on theat RPG lately are me, Dusk_, and King Kavu. What happened to Supermouse and Eron and stuff?
And come on FM, it's not that hard. Just tell Dusk_ what you're gonna do, and if your action might have a chance of failing (eg: attacking a creature, casting an offensive spell, climbing a tree), pick Heads or Tails and the DM will do the rest. He supplies the problems, and you try to find solutions.
And as for a new RPG, I kinda want to go back to one where a plot is involved. It's more fun when you can't have things go off on a complete tangent, cuz then everything doesn't go screwy.

I think we should start another card set based on our RPG, if some of you don't remember, we made up cards based on our origanal RPG, you can still find it in the new card/set ideas forum, it was one of the most replied to threads! 2. We dont really have a main philosophy, we just write "RPG"s. Not the conventional kind, its more like a story, but we call them RPG's. Only Clan members may participate in a Clan RPG!
Hey guys! Anyone remember me, not this is not a full return to my former glory, I have massive exams comming up (the biggest in my life) so I have to worry about them for the rest of the year, but I thought I'd check back on my creation (well kinda my creation, not the clan but... ah you know and if you don't you don't care). Anyway, keep the RPGs going, who's still active?
Oh and with anyone trying to trash the RPGs, just ignore them ey? fighting them will just promote them being a pain in the ass. The Deity signing off.

So unless tiers some kind of requirment for joining or the absence of desire for me to join I'd like to!
You gotta have 5 quality posts on an RPG before being considered. There are a couple open right now. There's the non-clan one which anyone can join, theres a superhero one, and several others!
