I need to make a few proxies and was wondering what was the best way to make them and what paper type to use to make them look close to original. I hate having the originals look nice and the proxies look lousy. Also, if they aren't made well they don't seem to shuffle into the deck adequately. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Uh, why worry about paper type? I print grayscale, because winning is better than looking good. You can only use proxies in tourneys if you have the real card of the proxy and can prove playing has worn the original down. Also, use hard card sleeves to create better shuffling, although tape works for me.

Oh, and if you are wondering, I tape the proxies on my old Starter/Portal cards. They aren't worth anything anyway.

No one has bothered to answer the original question.

I would also like to know what the right kind of paper would be to print magic cards on. Also, where can you get sticky photo paper like the kind used in the making of the better fake magic cards.

Any help would be appreciated.
