[5D] horned helm, healer's headdress, sparring collar

Okay, I made up the names, but you get the idea - equipments like Nim Visor*. They cost to play and to equip. They're common.

* Yes, I realize Nim Visor is also not the real name, according to the Orb.

This is info from Mister Wiggles - thanks again!

There's a common cycle like the "Nim Visor". They are all costed the same, and can move to a creature you control for two colored mana. The white one gives +0/+2, and gives the creature ": Prevent 1 damage". The green one gives +1/+1 and trample (oooh, reminds me a little bit of Rancor). There's also a blue one and a red one - not sure what they do.

The Black one still looks like the best for now, but I won't count out the Red one just yet. I think the Black one could fit in Raffinity<shrug>

I'm really interested in what the blue and red ones will do, these are pretty decent pieces of equipment for being only commons, in my opinion.

Without having the red one... I can say that the black is at the moment the best because of it versatility in changing power... Could it be included in the new sligh even though not using its instant attach?...
If the red one could give haste.... it will be a beating with the new 7/6 trample for 1RR!!!!!!!! Perhaps it could give firebreathing also... Do I dream/drink too much?

Actually your firebreathing guess was better than mine, for some reason I was thinking of a ping ability, then I realized that we already have Viridian Longbow

I like the white one, it can save a creature from a shock or a bolt. But the black ones still better

It looks like a cool cycle, and at common it will probably be used a lot in limited. Im interested to see what the blue and red ones are though...

Firebreathing? While it would be a very good card, I doubt the red equip will have it for two reasons:

1) The Black one already gives a power, and only power, boost.
2) Fifth Dawn is about having alot of different types of colored mana, and firebreathing (having alot of red mana) works against that theme.

But I could be wrong.

Dragon Whelp has firebreathing, so I guess it doesnt work against the theme of different colors.

the blue one could very easily give flying or magpie.

the red one might potentially give haste... or it could give firebreathing as stated already... or...!!!

it could give ali-from-cairo to a creature... omg... (as long as ali-from-cairo is in play, any damage that would reduce you to below 1 life, reduces you to 1 life instead)...

That would be awesome... Worship on a body again...

no less.

Did R_E say they were all going to be common?

if so, then they couldn't be anyhting outlandish, but if they had one or two as rare, then they could do some really crazy things...
