I have been saying it since M10 came out and this only helps validate what I believe, Zen will have opposing color fetch lands (you can quote me on that). In fact I am so certain about it that last month I sold my playset of foil Polluted Delta's just in case this happened.

Also I hope the legendary Octopus is totally awesome

I suppose you could just buy them back if they don't print enemy fetches. But I still can't see them printing enemy fetches without allied ones. There's no real reason that they won't reprint the existing ones though, apart from the fact that they're clearly very broken lands.

They could be enemy fetches, which of course would rock. I'll quote you on that, Anthony, so don't worry.

I thought the same thing abou the the octopus. If I can get the money or just trade off old stuff, I'll collect those bad boys if they're good.

I'm betting 50 s that the legend octopus won't see top 8 play in any serious standard competition. They print blue fatties quite often, and the only one that's been any good recently is oona, queen of the fae. Everything else some people say "I might test that..." and then it turns out to suck. But a tentacly EDH deck would be cool.

I like Octopods. I could care less if they saw any top eight appearances. I collected Skybreaker tokens from Eventide because they resembled Cthulhu.

Actually a lot of blue legends tend to see play (more so then the other colors it seems), Meloku/Teferi/Oona are the prime examples but non-legendary blue fatties do however tend to suck

Does anyone know if landfall is specific to the land type coming into play? If not the fetch lands would be even more amazing than normal.

It is not specific so yes fetch lands would trigger when they come into play and when the land they fetch enters play

•A creature that can sacrifice itself to make a planeswalker go to the graveyard.

So the creature's ability would be something like -- "Sacrifice ~: Remove all counters from target permanent"?

That's probably the best wording that I can think of which would kill off a Planeswalker.

As far as the cycle, I really do hope it's the off color fetch lands.

Card Name
Land
Pay 1 life, Sacrifice ~: Search your library for a Plains or Swamp card and put it into play. Then shuffle your library.

I'm very interested to see what they look like and what they're named. So for fun, let's guess at their names.

Wow, you actually typed out ALL of the enemy fetches?

•A card that is a two-card kill combo with a rare card in Magic 2010.

Haunting Echoes?

•A spell capable of making a 14/1 token.

•A creature that can sacrifice itself to make a planeswalker go to the graveyard.

Sac to kill target non creature nonland?

•A legendary octopus

Yes!

•A spell that can allow you for no mana to put a creature from your library into play.

•A card with the reminder text "The land continues to burn..."

Maybe that's got something to do with painlands "burn"ing you.

•A card that allows you to pay eight mana for four 4/4 fliers

Decree of justice withouth the ?

•A creature whose rules text includes the phrase "you win the game."

Dunno about this. Maybe "if you control 20 or more lands"

•A cycle of cards that players have been begging us to print for years.

Enemy fetches! Hell yeah!
