The 2009's Magic: the Gathering State Championships -- Virginia!

Please be aware that Broad Street will be closed for the Richmond Christmas Parade. This should not affect access to the Convention Center from the highway.

Time:
Registration is from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM. Tournament begins at 10:00 AM promptly.

Registration closes ten minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Any player who wants to enroll after registration has closed will be able to do so, but will receive a round one match loss. Players arriving after round two has been paired will not be able to enroll in the tournament.

Entry Fee:
$25.00 Credit cards are not accepted at the event site.

Format:
Standard Constructed. The Standard format will consist of the following Magic: The Gathering expansions: Magic 2010 Core Set, Shards of Alara, Conflux, Alara Reborn, and Zendikar.
K-Value: 24
REL: Competitive

Prizes:
• The winner of the Virginia 2009s will receive a 2009 Championship Plaque, a special DCI Membership Card and free attendance for one year into any Premier Constructed event held by any 2009s-participating TO!
• The top 8 finishers receive a commemorative 2009s playmat.
• Booster packs prizes based on attendance.

How to Submit your Article:

Post it as a link to The2009s State/Provincial Championships page on Facebook. While you are there, let everyone know that you will be attending the event and invite your friends to come along!

Trading:
While trading is fine, please note that buying/selling cards with anyone except for our authorized dealer(s), or soliciting to do so elsewhere, is strictly forbidden at this event. Failure to obey this rule may result in both the buyer and the seller being removed from the event without refund, and banned from attending future events.

Star City Events also reserves the right to limit the amount of space being occupied by any one individual while trading, and does not allow the use of suitcases, handcarts, luggage carts, etc. to be used for the purpose of transporting excessive amounts of trade stock
